As a large storm moves into southern California, Metrolink train 632 (Los Angeles to Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo) passes through CP Maple, just north of the Orange, California, Metrolink station. Metrolink F125 “Spirit” locomotive 908, with 4700 horsepower, can easily handle this four-car train (SCAX 244, SCAX 196, SCAX 137 and SCAX 650). In the background is Chapman University’s new Villa Park Orchards residential village housing … and in the cab appears to be someone using their cell phone, which is supposed to be prohibited in a locomotive cab.
