    Remarks & Notes
Steamscape: Coconino Canyon. Just about 7 miles south of the Grand Canyon Village, Locomotive #29 finds herself deep in in the piney forests of Conconino Canyon. This canyon features a winding, twisting route, with a series of reversing curves as the line follows the valley floor. Some 10-15 miles further south, the railroad fully emerges from the canyon and from there on down to Williams, there are long stretches of this railroad where the speed limit is 40 mph, and the tracks run straight as an arrow for miles and miles with hardly a tree in sight.

The Grand Canyon Railroad, operating a 64-miles former Santa Fe branch to the eponymous natural wonder, is one of the best tourist railroads in the United States. It operates both steam and diesel locomotives.
