Remarks & Notes

A pair of “Heritage I” GE C44-9Ws power a westbound BNSF grain train exiting Tunnel 3.9 and is about to enter Tunnel 4, east of Belton, Montana, on September 8, 1999. The train is following the Middle Fork of the Flathead River on a scenic western portion of the Hi Line Subdivision route over Marias Pass that parallels on Glacier National Park.
