| 16-car shinkansen of the 700 series # C 21 of JR West is entering Maibara station with a service from Tokyo to Osaka. This train with 13200 kW is 400 meter long and has 1323 seats. In the foreground you can see the new guard rails, which are installed to help keep a train on the tracks in case of a severe earthquake. This guard rails are mainly installed in stations or in regions with a increased earthquake risk. |
