My only time at Abo and Raton was in 1992 on the heels of chasing ATSF 3751 from KC to Alberquerque and riding a C&TS photo freight. A morning walk in from the Highway 60 overpass near Scholle was a surreal experience, walking up and down the hills along the pole line and camping out for trains at some nice overlooks. One catch of the morning were these Warbonnets climbing the canyon with EB intermodal.
