Big Viaduct, version two that is, supports the NS Pittsburgh Line and 63V heading west between South Fork and Mineral Point PA. The original Big Viaduct was destroyed when the South Fork Dam had breached and unleashed havoc from South Fork to Johnstown PA. The first wave of water climbed the peninsula at the foot of the viaduct, receded some and followed the loop. It was then debris piled up against the viaduct, and the pressure was too much for the PRR stone arch bridge and destroyed it. The pressure that was then released flowed through Mineral Point to Johnstown claiming near 3000 lives in 1889. A temporary wooden trestle was built until the current viaduct was constructed.
