A perfect morning to start the vacation: Standing at the Alviso Sound near San José, having absolutely no wind and therefore a perfect mirror image and then a unexpected (waited there for some scheduled Amtrak and ACE commuter trains) long ballast uning train vom Union Pacific is rumbling by. Hauled by SD70AH #8991, SD70M #5209, and AC44CWCTE #5845 the train consists of roughly 100 ballast hoppers from Herzog Railroad Services, most of them in a nice red/white paint scheme.
