| NS H08 heading west on the Southern Tier. NS 5615 formerly was SOU 2828 (GP38AC) before being rebuilt to a GP38-2. In December 2020, it was sold to the Middletown & New Jersey Railroad, meaning it will likely spend the remainder of its days on the Southern Tier and connected neighboring rail lines. NS 5613 (GP38-2) also is an ex-Southern engine: ex-SOU 2827 (GP38AC). While two numbers apart on the NS roster, these engines formerly were consecutively numbered on the Southern Railroad. |
