    Remarks & Notes
On August 28, 2000, a Burlington Northern Santa Fe Office Car Special heads west through Pactolus, Colorado. EMD SD70MAC Nos. 9891 and 9998 power the seven-car train traversing Union Pacific’s Moffat Tunnel Subdivision. Pactolus is just west of Pinecliffe, and a location where winter ice was harvested and shipped to Denver. The old icehouse is still standing, part of which is visible in this view on the far right, and the small lake reflecting the train is what they used to cut and harvest the blocks of ice from.
