| A heavy freight climbs the S curves outside of the John Farm in Shawsville, Virginia on April 12, 2020. This is the former N&W mainline over the Christiansburg Mountain Division. The family at the John Farm have been farming this same land for centuries with dates on their relative's tombstones in the cemetery to the left dating as far back as the 1760s. |
