| A pair of Union Pacific’s 6,000 horsepower SD90MAC-H locomotives grind away with a southbound freight approaching Tunnel 2 at Bealville, California. The train is in the middle of a long climb of Tehachapi Pass during the pleasant spring afternoon of March 27, 2001. I believe the steel ties stacked in the foreground were being replaced at the time. |
