| Push-pull train with standard cars type I and railcars RBe 540 in front and rear is running down the Gotthard north ramp between Gurtnellen and Intschi. In the foreground right the typical little cable protection building "23 p" of the Gotthard line. To the right of the house, at the height of the front 1st class car, there was at this time still an unguarded pedestrian crossing over the two tracks, which served the farmer and was drawn as private. Because of the lack of visibility, all trains going uphill had to give a whistle signal. Meanwhile the crossing was secured with an automatic barrier system. |
