CP 2622 pulling a freight train. These locomotives were withdrawn from 2012. Their last years were spent pulling some freight trains. However, due to a crisis of lack of rolling stock material and high demand of train passenger last summer of 2019, the current governement decided to reintroduce this series of locomotives again, making the enthusiastic community very happy, once they are very popular. First some running tests were made due to the amount of time stopped. Results were satisfactory, so after the Pandemia, they might start some passenger services in the northern line of Minho, with the also recovered Schindler cars, from the 50′s. It will be for sure a picturesque trainset, being possible to travel with open windows in the XXI century in a regular service. Can′t wait for it!
