| The DF class were built by EMD Canada and entered service in 1979 and were rebuilt with turbo in 1990s and then further upgrades. Nearly all remain in service, including 7010 here in MAXX livery. The Northern Explorer train was built by Hillside Engineering in Dunedin and entered service in 2012 between Auckland and Wellington. |
