Detour: On December 08, 2017, CSX Q404 derailed at Townley Interlocking suspending all freight and passenger traffic on Conrail's Lehigh Line at one of its busiest locations: Union, NJ. Because of this, trains had to operate around the derailment by way of other routes. Here, CSX Q300 is causing more delays while detouring eastbound on the Port Reading Secondary. After taking the Port Reading Secondary, the train had trouble maintaining good speed. With several east and westbound trains waiting to take the single track line, a long freight train travelling at about 3 MPH was not what the dispatchers needed.
