Remarks & Notes

A typical train of the FCAB from the copper mines near Calama and Chuqicamata is tackling the grade from Prat (about 690 meter a.s.l) to the Cumbre pass (about 970 meter a.s.l.) and the harbour of Mejillones. Pulling are GL22C # 1452 (former Queensland Government Railway # 1512 from 1968), G12U # 1412 (former EFE Dt 13017 from 1961) and G26C-2 # 2001 (former Western Australia Government Railway WAGR # D 1563 from 1971).
