| INRD 3808 & INRD 3802, both GP38-2’s leading the HWBLT train across the popular Tulip Trestle. The HWBLT train is usually only about 10 cars. But, luckily enough when I was down in the area, they moved 40 coal cars into storage making for an almost 50 car train. Tulip Trestle finished construction in 1906 and was built for the Indianapolis Southern which then became apart of the Illinois Central. Tulip Trestle is by far the most popular shot across the INRD system but it’s a shot you never want to pass up! |
