| To-day marks the 80th Anniversary of the appeal made by General De Gaulle to his fellow countrymen to resist on June 18,1940 and broadcast by the BBC on 22nd June following the fall of France. In 2010 Eurostar wrapped one of their trains in a special vinyl for the 70th anniversary and this set, with power cars 3018 and 3017, comes racing down from the North Downs tunnel through the Nashenden Valley to the River Medway bridge forming the 08.07 Paris Nord to London St.Pancras. |
