| Abolished CSX Local: A CSX local train from Woodbourne departs CP Mead after finishing work at Manville Yard. Sadly, this local was abolished in October of 2019. This was my only time catching this local on film. In this photo, the engineer acknowledges a local railfan who also is an employee at the neighboring Royce Brook Golf Course (seen in the right of the photo). The trailing unit is CSXT 8387 (SD40-2). The leader is an ex-Reading (former RDG 3673) and later Conrail (former CR 3277) unit. The trailing unit is an ex-C&O SD40 locomotive (former CO 7528). |
