Uncertain Future: The Pan Am Railways OCS (Office Car Special) is unquestionably the crown jewel of the PAR fleet. With the abundant speculation following Pan Am publicly going for sale this year, the future of the sleek train has definitely gone to question. In result, many local New England railfans have taken to seeing the train as much as they can while it’s still around, including this most recent run. Here the train is seen paralleling Sutton ST in North Andover, MA, making a nice appearance in afternoon light on its way to Ayer, MA.
Although most only provide freight service, regional railroads have passenger operations; not only executive trains but also charity events and excursions.
