| The daily Waterloo to Kirk Yard manifest train drifts downgrade into the Winthrop Curve area. The engineer has the units in heavy dynamics as they cross Pine Creek. Grades are pretty tough thru this area as the train will go from 50 mph down to 25 mph in about a mile as they climb thru Winthrop. The train is 63 miles from Dubuque which is the next crew change and work. |
