Royal Gorge in the Royal Gorge. Unquestionably one of America's most scenic tourist excursions, the Royal Gorge Railroad in Ca?on City, Colorado makes several trips a day through the geographic feature from which it derives its name. An astoundingly long 17 car train (including four full domes) is bracketed by a pair of geeps (CRRX 728, EMD GP40PH-2 leading) for the 3:30 PM run on Wednesday, September 1, 2020. It has just started the trip to Parkdale, Colorado and will stay at only a few feet above the Arkansas River for most of the trip.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
While Colorado's narrow gauge steam railroads are the major draw, the state is also home to several diesel-powered tourist railroads that take passengers to the Royal Gorge and other sites.
