Factory-fresh Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe Dash 8-40BW 519 (built 10/90) sits in the railway’s Corwith Yard, awaiting it’s next assignment. These were heady days on the Santa Fe, as the 500s followed the 100-class GP60Ms into service, with their "Superfleet" paint scheme, reminiscent of the old "Warbonnet" passenger scheme, adding extra flair to the hot intermodal trains to which they were assigned. (Chicago, Illinois – October 21, 1990)
