Each day, the near constant parade of intermodal trains on BNSF’s San Bernardino Sub through Fullerton is broken up by a few locals, as well as a pair of "loose car" freight trains: The BARWAT/WATBAR (operating between Barstow and Watson, in the harbor area) and the BARLAC/LACBAR (ferrying cars between Barstow and Hobart Yard near downtown Los Angeles). At 17:55 train H-BARWAT1-30A passes through Fullerton Junction on its way from Barstow to Watson Yard in the Wilmington neighborhood of Los Angeles. The power for this train is typical: ES44C4 4293 and Dash 9-44CWs 5129 and 1079. Twenty minutes later, this train’s eastbound counterpart, the H-WATBAR would pass through as well.
