BNSF Railway train R-CAL0081-30I, the "2nd La Mirada" local, is a local with a pair of former Santa Fe GP60Ms for power: BNSF 127 and 141. This train is heading back to the yard in La Mirada, eight miles to the west, on a hot (102o!) September afternoon. Behind the three freight cars is BNSF 999755, a former ATSF Ce-11 class way car (a wide-vision caboose). The train is crossing over from Track 2 to Track 3 here at Fullerton Junction for the trip back to the yard, as the last eastbound for a while just departed the Fullerton Transportation Center a few minutes earlier. And those are not flashing ditch lights, as BNSF does not use those. Rather, one of them has burned out. (Fullerton, California – September 30, 2020)
