| The MNYGJ didn't make it far out of Denver Thursday night as the lead locomotive developed an issue after departing. A new crew brought UP 1943 to the rescue Friday and tacked it on the point to lead the train west to Grand Junction. The train sat at Bond till about 9:00am Saturday morning before a rested crew came to take the train the rest of the way to Grand Junction. The morning sun greets UP 1943 just east of Range as it glides west along the Colorado River in Red Canyon.
