      Remarks & Notes
Union Pacific’s snow fighting outfit, led by rotary snowplow No. 900082, pauses at Limon, Colorado, before heading east on the Limon Subdivision, also known as the Kansas Pacific line on the morning of October 28, 1997. A large snowstorm hit Colorado before Halloween that year, dumping several feet on the state and nearby Kansas. This, coupled with high winds, filled the many cuts on the line making it impassable to the next crew change point of Sharon Springs.
