| Re 420 # 109 (Re 4/4 II # 11109) is now the last operational of the former "Swiss-Express"-locomotives in the light grey/orange paint scheme with large SBB symbol on the front, and one of the oldest locomotive of the SBB in daily service. This 4780 kW locomotive for 140 km/h was taken over by the SBB on march 10th, 1967 and is more then 53 years in service now. # 11109 is standing at the buffer beam of track 12 in Zürich main station, after pulling the IC 487 of the line IC4 from Singen am Hohentwiel/Germany via Schaffhausen to Zürich. |
