Loaded Key Train CSX K650-17 (Chicago,IL/CN-Montgomery,AL) blast south through the south-end of Patty (MP C-344.7 SE Patty) on the CSX Etowah Sub. Patty is a storage track and the starting point of the Calhoun Branch which turn west for Calhoun, TN. The Etowah Sub is a sad example of the dwindling of coal traffic over the last three decades while in the heart of the CSX Coal Network the sub normally sees the bare minimal of freight traffic now compared to its glory days, which seem to give the company the opportunity to run these key train like K650 quietly through the subdivision.
