Remarks & Notes

UP Ge U50C 5012 leads another U50c and A DD35B west out of Cheyenne in the spring of 1974. Sadly these units were a total flop. The aluminum wiring was a main problem as they tended to catch fire. This unit had the distinction of being the first one withdrawn. It Caught fire at Grand Island nebraska not long after i took this photo it Had only 413.480 miles on it
