When night is falling over Rigi mountain, the cogwheel train 170 from Rigi Kulm down to Arth Goldau is drawing a light trace down from Rigi Staffel station. The light from the moon lights up the landscape slightly. The train is running with 17 km/h (10.5 miles per hour) only, so the exposure time was nearly 2 minutes.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
