A few weeks ago, Mitch Goldman posted a photo of the restored Baltimore & Ohio station in Oakland, Maryland. Coincidentally, I just came across a slide of that station while it was still in service. Shown after the sun has set, the station still has an Amtrak sign facing the tracks Eighteen days after this photo, Amtrak’s final Washington – Cincinnati Shenandoah will stop here, and the station will be closed.
