The self propelled diesel powered articulated sixaxle overhead wire maintenance and repair vehicle Xmf 6/6 # 24402 of the Rhaetian Railway is curving over the Bernina line along the Lago Bianco on about 2250 meter a.s.l., pulling two sliding doors cars. This MTW 100.160 overhead wire maintenance vehicle with 2 x 395 kW was delivered by Plasser and Theurer/Austria in 2016 (then numbered # 92220), has a weight of 75 ton and a maximum velocity of 90 km/h. The vehicle has a pantograph for control purpose only. This was a driver training run from Ospizio Bernina to Pontresina, the freight cars were used as load for brake training on the down grade of up to 7.0 %.
