At far left can be seen the reason for their retirement, with REM construction ongoing here, as well as on the Deux-Montagnes line, where these cars were used until the entire line shut down at the end of 2020. Most of these cars had to be trucked from Deux-Montagnes to Saint-Jér?me, where they were put back on rails and brought here by F59PHI-led trains. The controversial REM project is a light rail line that will serve the Montreal area with grade-separated, driverless trains.
