| I headed out today in hopes for more drift action. 337 and 703 left Dubuque after sunrise on this bitterly cold day. The low at sunrise was around -15 with wind chills well above the -30's. Unfortunately the 337 was big and heavy as they hit the drifts 1st and didn't give much action, and they had 2 BNSF units. Behind them U703 kicks up some snow as they pass thru the old Beth siding location with an empty bound for western Iowa. 4 CN's for power, something not easily seen much this winter. |
