    Remarks & Notes
    The "PJ&B"

A set of NJT's GE Arrow III EMU's return from Princeton, NJ following 2.7 miles of track affectionately named "The PJ&B". The shuttle, or "Dinky" as it is known, is bound for Princeton Junction located along the Northeast Corridor in West Windsor, NJ. Aside from a short-lived Boston & Albany route that ran 1.2 miles in the early 1950s (from Riverside to Newton Lower Falls, Massachusetts), this has always been—and remains—the shortest passenger train route in the United States. What's "PJ&B", you ask? Well, it's the "Princeton Junction & Return" of course!

At one time, this branch, which loops around to the right intersecting a rather large parking lot, was double tracked and branched out into a wye connecting to the NEC in both directions. There was even a spur that led to a small turntable eary on to turn the small steam locomotives, both here, and the opposite end of the line.
