| A Freeport McMoRan train works up the steep grade between Clifton and Morenci, Arizona, after crossing Copper Verde Lane grade crossing on October 27, 2020. Lead locomotives FMI No. 59 is former Rio Grande GP40 No. 3075 that was extensively rebuilt by Freeport McMoRan into a GP38-2. In the background is a subdivision of company housing built for the employees of FMI’s huge mining complex at Morenci. |
