Amtrak's California Zephyr races across the BNSF Mendota Sub on its tri-weekly trek to the west coast. The train curves around the scenic area between Buda and Wyanet. The train begins climbing upgrade out of the Pond Creek area all the way to Buda, 3 miles ahead. The train is between station stops of Princeton (3:44pm) and Galesburg (4:38pm), and is running on time today.
