Since change of timetable in december 2020, the BLS is running the IR 17 line between Bern and Olten, instead of the SBB. For this line with very high demand at rush hour, the BLS ordered eight 6-car doubledeck commuter trains "MUTZ" from StadlerRail, in addition to the existing fleet of 4-car trains of the same type. RABe 515 # 037 is running the IR 2817 of the line IR 17 from Berne via Burgdorf-Herzogenbuchsee-Langenthal to Olten, through the "Grafeschüre" curve between Burgdorf and Wynigen.
