| Cogwheel railcar Bhe 2/4 # 2 (built in 1937 by SLM and BBC with 450 horsepower) of the Rigi Bahnen is running down the 25.0 % grade between Freibergen and Grubisbalm as third train CC 1128 from Rigi Kulm to Vitznau. On the Rigi Bahnen, trains are running on sight distance at high demand. First train was BDhe 4/4 # 5 with 3 cars, second train BDhe 4/4 # 22 with cab car Bt # 32. The 7 kilometer long standard gauge Vitznau-Rigi-Bahn was opened in 1871 and is celebrating 150 years in 2021! Electrification was in 1937 with 1500 V DC. |
