| Get A Grip. The cylinder cocks on VC 2 send out a brief stream of steam and hiss in frustration as the 99-year-old locomotive recovers from a wheel slip during the Southern California Railway Museum's "Run One" program, offering those in the public the chance to operate the locomotive running at the museum that day. A small slash of color in the foreground shows that spring is still alive and well in some parts of Southern California even as temperatures begin to warm up and make one think that summer is already here. |
