Union Pacific EMD SD70M No. 4831 is getting a wheel set/motor assembly replaced at railroad’s Kansas City Locomotive Facility on October 21, 2013. Shop employees Michael Liles and James L. Pemberton are using the single axle drop table on the wheel track at the facility to lower the new wheel set/traction motor assembly. The wheelset will drop below, transferred in the drop pit toward the track the locomotive sits on and then be raised underneath the rear truck of No. 4831 in the fifth axle position.
