DE30AC locomotives 409 and 423 bracket the DOTX #221 which is an automated track inspection car dispatched by the Federal Railroad Administration. This classy looking car was built in 1954 as Canadian National #1083, "Cape Brule" which was a sleeper and buffet lounge car. This is the second day of testing on the LIRR and the consist is seen heading eastward through Cold Spring Harbor station enroute to Port Jefferson, NY.
