| The northbound Crescent has traveled about 200 miles from New Orleans to make a station stop in downtown Meridian, Mississippi. Both Norfolk Southern and Kansas City Southern put a halt to their operations in town to allow Amtrak a clear signal to Birmingham, Atlanta, and beyond. |
