| You would never know by looking at it but this once was a Santa Fe streamlined F unit. Florida Central 56 was built in 1949 as a F3 and was rebuilt in the Santa Fe Cleburne, Texas shops in the 1970's into a CF7. After working in sunny Florida for years, this locomotive will spend its final days shuffling grain cars in rural Mississippi. |
