| Cogwheel railcar Bhe 1/2 # 30 of the Pilatus Bahnen is the newest, built in 1967 by SLM and MFO with 175 kW (slightly more powerful then # 21 to # 28 of 1937). Since 2017, this car has a golden publicity paint scheme for the Karl F. Bucherer luxury watch maker of Lucerne, which was founded in 1888 (1 year before the Pilatus Bahn was inaugurated). The railcar is running up over the Mattalp as train CC 13. Here the grade is estimated only the half of the maximum of 48 %. In the right upper corner of the picture you can see the track going through the rock face, called Donkey-wall (Donkey /Esel is the nme of the mountain). |
