| In 1976, there were 6 Am 6/6 diesellocomotives delivered from BBC and Thyssen/Henschel, # 18521 to # 18526. They had a 1840 kW 16 cylinder diesel motor of the french SEMT Pielstick and 6 asynchron electro motors. The purpose was service in the large new Limmattal shunting yard, mainly to shove the trains over the hump. All 6 locomotives were withdrawn and scrapped in 2020, replaced by the Aem 940 of Alstom. |
