A westbound BNSF intermodal train rolls through Basta, the location where Union Pacific’s Anaheim Branch crossed the Santa Fe’s Third District, which these venerable cantilever signals protected. By this date, the UP no longer crossed what is now the BNSF San Bernardino Sub, and a portion of the old UP branch is now a storage siding for the BNSF. (Fullerton, California – April 6, 2005)
