High Lonesome Mixed

The brisk fall morning breaks over Colorado's San Luis Valley near 1920 as a mixed train on the Denver and Rio Grande makes its way out of Antonito, Colorado. The air is crisp as Consolidadion #425, picked up used from the Florence and Cripple Creek makes her way around the Lava Loop, used to lift trains out of the San Luis Valley outside of Antonito.

More famously known as Denver and Rio Grande Western #315, it's seen here posing as its younger self, from the time before when the D&RGW was sans 'Western', but after the locomotive was acquired from the F&CC
