On this day, a rather authentic steam passenger train of the 1920'/1930' circulated from Zürich to G?schenen and back, organized by some enthusiast of the association steam group Zürich (Verein Dampfgruppe Zürich, VDZ). In Erstfeld, the train is now ready to run up unassisted the 2.6 % grade of the northern Gotthard ramp to G?schenen. Ae 6/6 # 11411 "Zug" of SBB Historic will run to G?schenen too, for leading the steamlocomotive through the 15 km long Gotthard tunnel to Airolo for turning on the turntable.
